A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jamika Wester became a resident of Texas after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Initially, she focused her talents on education, teaching in various school districts in Houston. However, Jamika soon realized her true passion lay in the legal field.
Jamika earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2015. Since passing the bar exam, she has dedicated her practice to serving the residents of Texas with their personal injury and criminal cases. Recently, Jamika expanded her legal expertise by becoming licensed in the state of Ohio.
As a Commissioner for the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Jamika presides over cases with a commitment to fairness and justice. Her role in this capacity exemplifies her dedication to public service and her community. Jamika is also a devoted mother to a boy/girl set of twins. Her daughter is currently in her second year of law school, following in her footsteps, while her son serves in the military and plans to attend law school once his service is complete.
In addition to her legal practice, Jamika provides valuable support to individuals on probation through her pro bono webinars called "Destination: Off Probation." These webinars aim to help people navigate the process of getting off community supervision early, reflecting her empathetic and client-centered approach to law.
Jamika's dedication to her clients, her community, and her family defines her practice. She strives to offer personalized, compassionate service to each client, ensuring they feel supported and understood throughout their legal journey.
